Four-Color Printing

Four color printing — also known as CMYK or full color printing — is the industry-standard process that reproduces the full spectrum of color in your printed materials by layering four ink colors: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. From vibrant marketing brochures and catalogs to eye-catching postcards and packaging, four color printing brings your brand to life with the depth and richness that black-and-white or limited color printing simply can't match. At Merrick Printing, we've been running four color work for decades, and we know what it takes to get color right — from proper file setup and color proofing to press calibration and finishing. Whether your project is a small run or a large regional campaign, our team manages every detail of the process so the finished piece matches your vision and represents your brand the way it deserves.

Digital Full Color Printing

Digital full color printing is the modern solution for high-quality color output without the setup time and minimum quantities that traditional offset printing requires. Instead of plates and press makeready, digital printing goes straight from your file to the press — making it the ideal choice for shorter runs, fast turnarounds, and projects that need variable data like personalized names, addresses, or unique codes on each piece. At Merrick Printing, our digital full color capabilities give clients the flexibility to print exactly what they need, when they need it, without sacrificing quality. Whether you need 50 sell sheets before a Monday meeting or a personalized direct mail campaign targeting hundreds of recipients, we deliver sharp, vibrant, consistent results every time. It's the speed and convenience of digital with the professional quality your brand demands — and the same trusted hands that have been handling Louisville's print needs for over 60 years.

Stochastic Printing

Stochastic printing, also known as FM screening, is an advanced printing process that produces sharper images, smoother color gradients, and finer detail than standard printing methods. Instead of the traditional dot pattern used in conventional printing, stochastic uses randomly placed microscopic dots that eliminate the visual noise and color limitations of older screening techniques — the result is print quality that simply looks better, especially on photography, detailed graphics, and premium brand materials. At Merrick Printing, we offer stochastic printing for clients who need their finished piece to stand out and represent their brand at the highest level. If your project demands exceptional color accuracy and image clarity, our team has the experience to deliver it right.
